Growth continues as it has for the last 20 years. New housing spreads out over available land and new employment congregates in large office parks and commercial buildings along I-15 and other major roads. New development uses a lot of land, with plentiful parking and large lots. Growth occurs primarily in the west and south of the county where the most open land is available. Many current agricultural lands transition to homes and businesses. 90,954 acres of land are developed between today and 2050.
