Countywide spending on transportation is medium; driving across the valley is quicker than other scenarios; travel without a car is less convenient than any other scenario; people spend more time in the car and more money on fuel and maintenance than any other scenario
The highest emissions of any scenario; buildings are about as energy efficient as they are today; 5% of cars are electric or zero emissions; people drive more than any other scenario
New housing resembles the last 20 years of growth; housing is mainly single-family; private yards are large; housing is more expensive and farther from work; energy efficiency is not improved
The same support for teachers and quality of teaching as today; educational collaboration is mediocre; post-secondary education attainment remains the same; industry clusters and wages stay the same
Water use per household is reduced by 10%; most homes have traditional yards; stormwater management practices remain the same
Many buildings are built in areas with high earthquake risk; construction standards for ground shaking stay the same; many homes are built in areas with high wildfire risk
Much of the valley’s farmland is converted to homes and businesses; the minimum lot size in agricultural zones is 5 acres, allowing large-lot housing to replace agriculture; the types of crops grown stay the same

In addition to 3,426 acres of land that is currently used for growing fruits and vegetables, 42,600 acres of other agricultural land and 37,000 acres of non-agricultural open space are lost to urban development. The minimum lot size in agricultural zones is 5 acres, which allows these areas to be subdivided for large-lot housing.
