Agriculture & Open Space in A

As growth spreads out, many farms are developed for housing and other uses. In addition to 3,426 acres of land that is currently used for growing fruits and vegetables, 42,600 acres of other agricultural land and 37,000 acres of non-agricultural open space are lost to urban development. The minimum lot size in agricultural zones is 5 acres, which allows these areas to be subdivided for large-lot housing.
