Water use continues with minimal reductions from current rates, but population growth means more people are putting pressure on water resources as total countywide municipal and industrial use grows by 57%. Landscaping is primarily traditional lawns with larger yards. Example yard:

 

A lot of new water infrastructure is constructed to accommodate dispersed growth, and significant additional water supply is required, much of which is converted from agricultural usesIncreased infrastructure costs are borne by the entire community. Most agricultural water is shifted to residential use. In additon to residential water, commercial water use puts pressure on water resources by using 162 gallons per employee per day. Stormwater runoff and Utah Lake are managed in thsame way as today.
